Bob Billinghurst is a seasoned professional in the marketing and distribution of specialized substrates, leading Spero Partners, LLC as President. Under his leadership, the company has grown to distribute wood substrates for several HDF mills, serving a diverse range of major industries and specializing in program-oriented and commodity-grade products.

In 2013, Spero Partners, LLC strategically shifted its focus to marketing and developing HDF substrates for the automotive industry, divesting its manufacturing equipment to better adapt to market dynamics.

From 2012, Bob guided Spero Partners, LLC in a successful collaboration with Unilin US MDF, developing an HDF substrate that meets and exceeds automotive OEM wood substrate requirements.

In 2008, Bob founded Spero Industries, LLC, specializing in converting wood and plastic substrates for the heavy truck and automotive interior trim industries. This venture included acquiring a CNC router and die-cutting equipment, enhancing the company’s conversion capabilities.

Bob’s career began in 1986, marketing solid fiber paperboard substrates for automotive interior trim applications and Ready to Assemble (RTA) furniture back panels. He later expanded product lines to include Wet Process Hardboard, plastic/wood blended substrates, and non-woven products, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors.
